From what we've seen so far, the CRM collects survivors and scavenges for supplies. One of the most noteworthy features of the organization is their use of a helicopter - or perhaps multiple helicopters as it's not made clear yet how many they have. With the debut of World Beyond, though, that may be changing, due to the introduction of the mysterious Civic Republic Military, or CRM, who appear as a full-fledged organization from the very first episode.
